Exhibition display: Nemanja Cvijanović
„One can see various items and objects at this exhibition. There are all sorts of things here, the list is quite long. All objects are heavy with symbolism, functioning almost like signs. The transmitted metaphors and meanings openly refer to current situations, to recent events. There's no need to describe them one by one; I think that they are clear to anyone. Nemanja leaves his objects untouched. They've been adopted as ready-mades, nothing added or subtracted.
But where's the story then?
Every day we are exposed to objects as such, or to associations they produce. The story emerges from their mutual relations, from the way in which the artist juxtaposes or (op)poses them. That's where we find narration.
