Workshops are held during morning and afternoon sessions from the begging of June until begging of October .

The workshops are intended for adults over the age of 18. Each attendant receives for use in workshops, a paint brush, paper, colours, a drawing board, and a glass of chosen vine.

The price and means of payment: 200 Croatian Kuna is the cost of a single workshop, or 600 Croatian Kuna is the price for 4 workshops (The fourth workshop is free) . The price is payable with cash or using cards in the museum shop. We ask you kindly to show the receipt of payment to the painting tutor at the begging of each workshop .

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

The cycle of Art & Wine painting workshops will commence 18th of June at 7pm with the figurative workshop "I portrait you-portrait me" and will be held within the atrium of The Museum od Fine Arts. During the workshop, each attendee receives a glass of wine as preferred, be that glass of red or a glass of white. If at a later time one is attending a workshop during the morning, on offer is also a glass of refreshing and mild Aperool Spritz, or a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice . The workshop attendees paint portraits of other individuals in the workshop, who at the same time paint their portrait. There are many different rules concerning portrait painting, almost as many as there are artists, but it is this opportunity of variation of styles, that makes the portrait always an interesting and a fresh subject . The attendees of this workshop will obtain the basic knowledge of how to approach portrait painting, in the medium of watercolour, pencil or charcoal. They will have the opportunity to paint and meet many new and different people, and obtain painting and drawing skills whilst socialising and enjoying in conversation.

ABOUT THE MENTOR

Sunčica Perišin Tomljanović Kuzmanić (Split, 1983.), graduated Fine Arts in 2006. from Central St Martins College, in London, and continues to work as an artist. Sunčica has exhibited both in group and solo exhibitions in Kaštela, Mexico, Zagreb, Split, Rome, New York, as well as in collaborative programs of the 2007 Venice Biennial and 2009 Istanbul Biennial, as well as in a groups show at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London , and the Georges Pompidou Museum in Paris.

Sunčica creates paintings trough ritualistic performance, repeating an action in a selected situation a number of days or weeks, altering only one element in repetition. For each project she creates a cycle of paintings, be they portraits of a group of people, seascapes at a specific hour, or musicians and their music.
